John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people through his music. Many of these were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's anthems for his adopted state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared that John Denver was by far one of the most popular musicians who was a symbol of Colorado. In 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. Denver has become the image of Colorado for many people around the world. You meet people in other nations, for instance New Zealanders, and they ask them "I am Colorado" and they say "I am from Colorado" then they immediately reply with "Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads written by co-writer Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo artist following a short stint in small folk bands. Danoff composed the track inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version of the song and realized it was going to be an instant hit in the top 10. The singer recorded the song just a few days later following a performance to the awe-inspiring crowd at Washington D.C.
