John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music inspired millions of people. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Deutschedorf from Roswell in New Mexico fell in Love with Colorado. He settled in Aspen. Denver's popular songs about his state brought many people to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares it is true that John Denver is unlike any other performer who has the recognizable image of Colorado. Denver was the first Hall of Fame to be inducted into the hall. Many consider Denver to be the symbol of Colorado. In all my travels I've encountered many individuals who do not hail from Colorado. They'll beg, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you come from Colorado. Brown clarified. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a brief time in folk group was Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track along with Johnny Cash in mind but after Denver was introduced to an earlier version he knew right away the track could become an instant hit. Danoff recorded the song within a couple of days of having performed in Washington D.C. before an large crowd who were very appreciative.
